Not only the party people get their money’s worth in Friedrichshain, but also everyone who likes to go to a café will be completely happy here. The district in the east of Berlin has a few addresses for really good coffee in stock.

Happy Baristas

At Happy Baristas, coffee is offered at the highest level – but in such a way that everyone feels welcome right away and is happy with their coffee.

Be sure to try Nitro Coffee and tea!

Marian, the founder of the café, told us in an interview that everyone finds their favorite coffee here – regardless of whether they’re a coffee nerd or a pragmatist. Here, coffee knowledge is imparted sympathetically and without a raised forefinger. In summer, the café is the ideal place to relax in the morning sun while drinking homemade Nitro Coffee. On offer here are guest coffees from international roasters, for example from Denmark (Great Coffee) or Hungary (Casino Mocca), prepared with a hand filter or served as a batch brew.

To those who like to go out for breakfast: Tuesday through Sunday, fancy dishes, like pancakes with bacon, are on the menu.

Coffee Profilers is now called K. LIEBLINGs. The café at Frankfurter Tor recently changed owners and name, but still presents itself in the same guise – furnishings and equipment were largely taken over. The café is and remains a place where you can relax and drink really good coffee.

Really good coffee from Hanover

In addition to the many comfortable seating options, you can sit at the high table in the back of the café, where it is great to work on the laptop. The coffee comes from the roasting company Starker Tobak from Hanover. There is a choice of two espresso roasts and two filter coffees, which are prepared either in the siphon or with the filter coffee. K. LIEBLINGs also serves homemade cakes and a small, fine breakfast menu.

If you’re looking for coffee to take home, this is the place to go: the selection of coffee beans is huge.

Silo Coffee

Silo Coffee is located on a side street in the Simon Dach neighborhood and has already made it into numerous tourist guides thanks to its really good brunch.

The Australian signature can be found in almost all dishes

Australian elements can be found in all dishes, as the owners come from Australia and are still closely connected to their culture – especially in the culinary sense. The coffee is provided by the roasting company Fjord Coffee. Behind the roastery is a cooperation between Silo Coffee and Father Carpenter. The filter coffees are prepared as batch brew, the varieties are adapted according to the season. Espressos are drawn with the Linea from La Marzocco.

In summer, coffee and brunch can be enjoyed on the numerous wooden benches in front of the café.

Tres Cabezas

The roastery Tres Cabezas in the heart of Friedrichshain is an important institution for really good coffee in the neighborhood.

From nutty-strong to fruity-light – here everyone finds his favorite coffee

The idea of roasting their own coffees came about back in 2002, when the roastery’s focus was primarily on Costa Rica as a country of origin. Over the years, they have acquired a great deal of know-how, and you can taste it with every cup. The baristas at the café work with a rotating single origin espresso and a slightly stronger blend. In the cozy rooms of the roastery, you’ll find seats where you’ll be happy to linger longer. The crowd is a pleasant mix of regulars and local residents. If you love cake, you can get creamy, refreshing vanilla-lemon cheesecake and chocolatey brownies here, for example.

In addition to its own coffee roasts, the café also sells Just Swap It reusable cups, which you see in more and more cafés.
